Location: Snow Summit 8200 Ft.

Big Bear California.

Although I built this node, it was a

joint project between myself and
Jack AA6HF and Rick K6VE.
The purpose of this node is to
provide a reliable network and
user connection into and out of
the Big Bear Valley recreation
area.

Nothing like a little climb up the 60 foot telephone pole
to mount the antennas. After you have done this during
winter one can certainly appreciate doing it on a nice
summer day!

Too bad we couldn't ride the ski

lift up! The standing rule is no

Hams on the ski lift.

And last but not least....there is the fresh air and the
view. The Los Angeles Basin is directly ahead and
below but cannot be seen due to cloud cover.
